ESRB is the abbreviation for Entertainment Software Rating Board, a self-regulatory body for the interactive entertainment software industry established in 1994 by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA).
ESRB independently applies and enforces ratings, advertising guidelines, and online privacy principles adopted by the computer and video game industry.
Game-Aware takes both the ESRB rating as well as the parents rating to calculate the Game-Aware age recommendation.
If no parents reviews are available for a game, the Game-Aware age recommandation is identical to the ESRB age recommandation.
